FLU VACCINE 2021/2022
We will be starting flu vaccination of our patients in early October. Please do not phone us, you will be invited to book via Calendly (an online booking system). We will be starting with those between the age of 70-80 years.
Patients over the age of 80 years are to receive flu vaccine AND covid vaccine booster in the one visit - we will contact these patients by phone once vaccine supply is received.
The flu vaccine is for ADULTS in the 'at risk' groups below.
The flu vaccine for CHILDREN aged between 2-12 years will also be available later in October.
You should get the flu vaccine (which is free of charge) if you are in one of the 'at risk' groups below:
- are 65 years or over
- are aged between 2 and 12 years
- are pregnant
- have a long term health condition
- have a weak immune system
- are obese and have a BMI >40
- work in healthcare or are a carer
- live in a nursing home or other long term care facility
- are a child with a developmental neurological disorder
- were born with down syndrome

KIDS AGED 2-12 - BOOK CLINIC
We expect a delivery of flu vaccine for this age group towards the end of October. This page will be updated when supply is received.
ADULT AT RISK GROUP will this year be divided into two groups - those aged 18 to 64 years and a second group - those aged 65 and over
Aged 65 and Over - BOOK CLINIC
There is a specific vaccine for those aged 65 and over.
If no appointment slots are available then our current Vaccine Stock is allocated.
We will open up further appointment slots once we have more vaccines (delivered alternate weeks to us).
Aged 18- 64 years - BOOK CLINIC
There is a specific vaccine for this age group.
If no appointments are available then there is no current stock.
More slots will open once delivery confirmed.
Due to manufacturer's stock limitation there are currently no private Flu Vaccine stocks available.
