renew a prescription?

Repeat prescriptions for designated chronic illnesses -

Requests for repeat medication are to be made in writing – either by post, email or by dropping in a completed Repeat Prescription Request form to our Reception team.

We require 48 hours to process your request for repeat medication.

Please ensure you order your repeat prescription well in advance of running out of your medication to ensure treatment is continuous.

Do not be surprised if the doctor requests that you attend for a consultation before issuing a prescription .It is important that you are regularly reviewed by the doctor if you are on medication to ensure it is working effectively and that you are not experiencing unwanted side effects. This may require physical examination or sometimes blood tests and is in your best interest.

Non Repeat prescriptions
If you have not been seen recently or if your request is for a medication not related to designated chronic illness, your request will be passed to the doctor for attention as all your medications & your previous medical notes will need to be reviewed. In this situation it is likely that you will be asked to make appointment to see the doctor to discuss the prescription.

In general our repeat prescription service will incur a fee.
